About
A Mom's Kitchen,Now Open to New York City
MyKah NYC started with one idea: real home cooking should be easy to get. This is that idea, built by Riti and her mom, Trupti.
I measure with my heart, not just a cup or a spoon. That's the only way the food still tastes like home.
Trupti Shah · Home Chef
The Mom Who's Been Cooking for Fifty Years
Trupti Shah started cooking long before MyKah NYC was ever an idea, first for her own family, and now for yours.
She still shops for every ingredient herself and cooks by feel, not recipe cards. Her daughter Riti keeps one rule: no matter how big MyKah NYC gets, every dish has to taste like it came straight from Mom's kitchen. That's the standard behind every meal we make.
Vegetarian Food NYC Hasn't Fully Met Yet
India has so many kinds of vegetarian food, and most of it still hasn't made it to New York menus. MyKah NYC is here to close that gap.
Our menu has more than 10 dishes, from vada pav and dabeli to chaat, bhel puri and homestyle tiffins, all 100% vegetarian and priced so it's easy to try something new.
Why Every Curry Gets Its Tadka
Tadka is the hot oil and spice mix that finishes a good Indian curry. Skipping it is what makes food taste flat. We never skip it.
It's a small step most places leave out, and a big part of why our food tastes like someone's home instead of a menu item.
Built to Bring People Together
Riti and Trupti believe a shared meal is one of the best ways to build a real community. What began as cooking for family is now a way to bring New York City to the same table.
MyKah NYC also caters events, big or small. Just reach out using the contact details below.
